What is an image hotspot question?
An image hotspot question asks the candidate to answer by clicking one or more regions of an image, rather than choosing from text options. The author defines the correct areas — as rectangles, ellipses or polygons — and the response is marked automatically against them.
With zoom for detail and marking rules across multiple defined regions, hotspot questions are especially useful for anatomy, diagrams, charts and imaging — anywhere the answer is a place rather than a word. See how Synap uses them for OSCEs and clinical assessments.
