Spaced Learning

Reviewing material at increasing intervals over time, so it's revisited just as it's about to be forgotten.

What is spaced learning?

Spaced learning (also called spaced repetition) is a study technique based on a simple finding from memory research: we remember things better when we review them at increasing intervals, rather than cramming them all at once. Each item is resurfaced just as it's about to slip away, which strengthens the memory a little more each time.

Done by hand it's fiddly; done by software it's powerful. Synap's Spaced Learning engine tracks each learner's mastery and schedules the right questions at the right time — the heart of effective revision and exam prep.
