Bookmark (a question)

A candidate tool for flagging a question during an exam, to return to it before submitting.

What is bookmarking a question?

Bookmarking (sometimes called flagging) is a simple but important exam tool: it lets a candidate mark a question during an exam so they can come back to it before submitting. Rather than getting stuck, they can move on, and easily find the flagged questions again at the end.

It's part of a familiar suite of on-screen tools that make a digital exam feel natural — alongside a calculator, highlighter, notepad and strike-through. Small features like these reduce friction and let candidates focus on the questions themselves. Synap includes them across its exams and mocks.
