# Learner storefront

The learner storefront is the public-facing catalogue of Products currently available on the portal. It should help a prospective buyer understand the offer before they start checkout.

### What buyers see

| Area           | Information shown                                           | Controlled from                                  |
| -------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------ |
| Store header | Store identity and introductory information. | Store settings. |
| Product cards | Product name, imagery, summary and price. | Individual Product settings. |
| Product detail | The fuller explanation of what is being sold. | Individual Product settings. |
| Account step | Sign-in or account association for the recipient of access. | Portal registration and authentication settings. |
| Buy action | The route into the payment journey. | Product availability and payment configuration. |

The Store may be labelled differently in the portal navigation because page labels can be configured by User type. The learner-facing name should still make it obvious that the page contains paid products.

### Review the storefront as a customer

Check it on desktop and mobile, while signed out and while signed in. Review long Product names, missing images, unavailable items and the route back to the main portal. Make sure support and policy links remain easy to find before a customer pays.

{% hint style="info" %}
The storefront is not proof that fulfilment is configured correctly. A Product can look complete while granting the wrong access, so every published offer needs an end-to-end test purchase.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://synap.ac/docs/platform/portal/learner-storefront.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
