# Reviewers

Reviewers are the staff group responsible for deciding the outcome of Assignments that require manual review.

Select an eligible Administrator or Educator User group on the Reviewers page. Using a group keeps reviewer membership maintainable: adding or removing a staff member changes who can take part without editing every Assignment separately.

Reviewers may need to inspect learner text entries, uploaded evidence and the status of other Course items before recording a pass or fail. Give the reviewer group access to the Assignment and only the learner information needed for that work.

Enabling Manual review without an available reviewer group creates an operational queue with nobody clearly responsible for it. Confirm reviewer capacity and access before publishing to a large cohort.
